SCC Tuition Due

Students taking dual credit classes through Southeast Community College (SCC) should note that tuition is due by September 20. This can be paid online through the student HUB account or a check can be mailed to the Milford campus. See Mrs. Stuhr if you have questions.

Free FAFSA Help at YHS

COMING SOON: FREE EducationQuest help with college planning and the FAFSA! Seniors and senior parents, take note! The FAFSA will open on Thursday, October 1. Jasmine from EducationQuest will be scheduling FREE appointments at YHS to assist in completing the FAFSA with you. She will begin FAFSA work on Oct. 1. Reach out to Mrs. Stuhr in the Counseling office to get scheduled.

College Reps Visit YHS

Approximately 40 college representatives will visit York High School on Tuesday, Sept. 22. All juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to learn more about the colleges they choose .... right here at YHS! Parents are welcome to join their junior/senior that morning. Contact the Counseling office for more details.

Financial Aid Mtg. - Coming Soon!

EducationQuest will be at YHS on Thurday, October 15, to present helpful information on college financial aid. All seniors are REQUIRED to attend over their lunch period, and we wlil provide lunch for them. Parents are welcome to also attend with their senior!

CURRENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Elks Most Valu­able Student 2027

Elks National Foundation 2027 Most Valuable Student Scholarship – Open to any high school senior who is a US citizen pursuing a four-year degree at a college or university. Scholarship deadline is November 12, 2026. Application may be found at enf.elks.org/MVS Applications are based on scholarship, leadership and financial need. Questions may be directed to Mr. Redfern at 402-362-4491.

FREE COLLEGE PLANNING HELP available!  Seniors, we are so fortunate to have an Educationquest expert from Lincoln visiting our school twice a month for 40-minute blocks of time.  This is FREE help!  Contact Mrs. Stuhr if you and/or your parents would like to set up a time to visit with her.  She is taking appointments so contact Mrs. Stuhr.  (This includes help with the FAFSA which  opened Oct. 1.)   The FAFSA is required for all seniors.  Contact Mrs. Stuhr to get your appointment set up soon!

PERU STATE COLLEGE – DUAL CREDIT STUDENTS

Go to peru.edu. Hover over Academics, Student Records, Transcripts.  You will need to have the DUO Mobile app on your phone for verification of identity.  It's best to do this transcript request during "business hours" on weekdays so you can contact Peru State for questions.  Waiting at least one week after graduaton so you can order an "as is" transcript is recommended.

SCC DUAL CREDIT STUDENTS

You may request your transcript by logging into southeast.edu , select Academics, select Transcript Request and choose the best option for you.
